I’m Bear! I'm a 7-month-old Shepherd mix weighing about 49 pounds. I have a handsome black-and-tan coat, a smart little mind, and a whole lot of life ahead of me. My story started out pretty difficult. I came from a hoarding situation, and because of the environment I grew up in, I didn't get to experience many of the things that most dogs take for granted. I had spent my life mostly indoors and had very little experience with the outside world.
I'm a really smart boy, and I have so much potential. I just need someone who is willing to take the time to teach me and help me understand that the world isn't something I need to be afraid of.

Ryder
Meet Ryder - a sweet, soulful girl looking for her forever home
Ryder is a 5-year-old Boxer mix with a heart as big as her personality. She's playful, deeply loving, and the kind of dog who will follow you around the house to be near you. If you're looking for a loyal companion who gives affection without reservation, Ryder is your girl.
What makes her wonderful: She's gentle and warm with people of all kinds; adults, strangers, kids. She rarely barks, making her an easy, calm presence in the home. She loves to play and has plenty of energy, but she's equally happy snuggling up at the end of the day.
What she needs: Ryder is reactive with other dogs and does best as the only pet in the household. She'll need leash walking rather than off-leash dog parks, and would truly thrive with access to outdoor space. A yard or nearby green space where she can stretch her legs and explore safely with no other dogs.
Her health: Ryder is healthy and up to date on her care. She has had two surgeries in her life - one to treat an aural hematoma or ’Boxers ear’ and one to repair a torn cruciate ligament (the canine equivalent of an ACL tear), which has been permanently corrected and hasn't slowed her down.
Why we're rehoming her: We love Ryder deeply, and this decision hasn't been easy. With two young children at home and her need to be away from other dogs (we have lots of dogs on our street), we're not able to give her the time, space, and care she deserves. She needs someone who can truly make her the center of their world, and we know that person or family is out there.

Penny
Meet Penny! A Loving lady looking for the perfect match.
Penny is a 2.5 year-old Cane Corso that weighs around 118 pounds.
What Makes Her Wonderful: Penny is a deeply loving, affectionate girl who is happiest when she is close to her family. She is incredibly bonded to her people and absolutely adores her young children. At home, she is a total cuddle bug who loves attention, belly rubs, and being included in whatever her family is doing. Penny especially loves spending time outdoors. She could happily spend hours lying in the sunshine, following her family around while they garden, or simply relaxing nearby. She isn’t a dog who needs constant activity or entertainment—she is perfectly content being your companion and soaking up the sun. We truly think she would love a home with plenty of outdoor space, and a farm or similar property could be a wonderful fit for her.
As a Cane Corso, Penny has the loyal, devoted, protective nature that makes this breed so special. She is naturally watchful and may bark when someone unfamiliar first arrives, but she can warm up quickly when she realizes someone is a friend. In fact, she is currently doing wonderfully with two men inside the home replacing windows—she is relaxed, wagging her tail, asking them for pets, and enjoying their attention. Once she understands that someone is welcome, she can be incredibly sweet and affectionate.
Her Health: Penny is currently doing very well on her daily fluoxetine, which has made a tremendous positive difference in her overall anxiety and ability to relax. With consistent medication, she is much calmer and has been able to stay home alone without being crated. She does have significant separation anxiety, which her family is actively managing and treating. Consistency is very important for her, and keeping her medication routine is a key part of helping her remain comfortable and successful.
Penny also has some behavioral considerations that are important for her future family to understand. She has shown aggression toward small dogs, particularly small fluffy breeds, and has demonstrated resource guarding around other larger dogs. Because of this, we believe she would do best as the only pet in the home, with no small dogs or other small animals.
Her family is committed to being completely transparent about her needs so that her next home can be one where she is understood, supported, and set up for success.
Why We're Rehoming Her: Rehoming Penny is an incredibly difficult decision, and this is not something her family is taking lightly. -We love her very much, and she is deeply bonded to our family. She is affectionate, devoted, wonderful with our young children, and has so many qualities that we absolutely adore.
However, we recognize that Penny needs a very specific environment in order to truly thrive. As a Cane Corso with strong guardian instincts, anxiety, and reactivity toward certain animals, she needs an experienced owner who understands the breed and is comfortable managing a powerful guardian dog.
Our goal is not simply to find Penny another home—it is to find the right home for Penny. We believe her ideal family would have experience with Cane Corso’s or similar guardian breeds, no small dogs or other small animals, a securely fenced property, and the ability to provide her with consistency, structure, companionship, and continued support with her anxiety.
Penny has so much love to give. She wants to be with her people, be included in their lives, spend time outside, and receive all the affection she can get. We are committed to finding her a home where her wonderful qualities can shine and where she can feel safe, loved, and understood for the rest of her life.

Sadie
Meet Sadie! Sadie is a beautiful, loving girl with a big personality, an adventurous spirit, and so much love to give.
Sadie is a 5-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound/American Foxhound mix that weighs about 60 pounds. She has a beautiful face, a gleaming coat, and a personality that is just as wonderful as she is beautiful.
What makes her wonderful: Sadie is a happy, energetic girl who absolutely loves being outside. Watching her run at warp speed through a dog park is truly something to behold! She has a zest for life and would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. She is wonderful with children of all ages, and she especially adores babies and toddlers. She has such a sweet side with little ones and loves being part of a family. Sadie loves to play with tennis balls and plush toys—although you shouldn't expect those toys to last very long! She plays hard and has a lot of fun doing it. When playtime is over, Sadie is perfectly happy to settle down and relax. She is housebroken and loves her beauty sleep, often sleeping around 12 hours at night with several naps during the day. She especially loves sleeping in bed with her people. Sadie also does well with other dogs in dog parks and play areas. She can be kenneled when her family goes away and does well with that routine. She is also a good traveler in the car, particularly when she can sit near her people in the front. Most importantly, Sadie is a dog who has been very loved and very well cared for. She has been a cherished member of her family, and it shows.
What She Needs: Sadie would thrive with an active outdoor person or family who can give her plenty of opportunities to exercise, explore, and enjoy the world around her. As a Hound mix, Sadie has a strong nose and an instinct to follow it. Nature is always calling her! Because of this, she must be kept securely on a lead whenever she isn't in a securely fenced area. If given the opportunity, Sadie may decide to follow her nose on an adventure of her own.
Sadie does not do well with other pets in the home and would prefer to have her people all to herself. While she enjoys playing with other dogs in appropriate dog parks and play environments, she should be the only pet living in her home.
Health: Sadie is very healthy and has been extremely well cared for throughout her life. She has a gorgeous face, a beautiful gleaming coat, and is in great overall condition. Her family has taken wonderful care of her and wants to make sure she continues to receive that same level of love and care in her next home. She is housebroken and has a wonderful routine at home, including long overnight sleeps and daytime naps.
Why we're rehoming her: This is an incredibly difficult decision for Sadie's family because they truly love her. They have enjoyed having Sadie as part of their family and have given her a wonderful life. Unfortunately, they have reached a point where they are getting older and are no longer able to provide the level of activity, exercise, and care that a young, energetic Hound mix like Sadie needs.
This decision isn't being made because Sadie isn't loved. It's being made because she is loved enough for her family to recognize that she deserves more than they are now able to give her. They want to find someone who can give Sadie the active lifestyle she loves—someone who will take her outside, let her run safely, play with her, snuggle with her, and continue treating her like the incredibly special dog she is. Sadie has been a beloved family member, and her family hopes her next chapter will be filled with just as much love.She is ready for her next adventure—and she's hoping you'll be the one beside her.
