Meet Lazlo! Lazlo is a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 16 pounds, with a soft, sensitive nature and a heart that just needs the right person to help it shine. He’s been with us for over two years, patiently waiting for a home where he can finally feel safe, settled, and truly understood. Lazlo is a very sweet boy, but he’s also quite shy and takes time to come out of his shell. When he first meets new people or encounters something unfamiliar, he may bark and move away — his way of saying he’s unsure. With patience, space, and gentle reassurance, he begins to relax and build trust at his own pace. He really enjoys being outside and comes alive when he’s running around with the other dogs at the rescue. Having canine companions helps him feel more comfortable, and he often takes cues from them as he continues to grow. Lazlo would do best in a calm, quiet home — ideally with a fenced yard where he can explore and feel secure. A peaceful environment without too much hustle and bustle will allow him to settle in and show more of his sweet personality over time.
