Aster

Meet Aster, a 17 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Alabama who is about 50 pounds. Aster is spunky, athletic, and smart. He is very handsome with chocolate brown and white speckles, big upright ears, and long legs for all the running he enjoys doing. He is shy with new folks, but give it a day or two and he will be your best friend. He is a smart and opinionated young man who loves playing with other dogs. He sometimes plays a little rough with smaller dogs, but in no way aggressive, he just gets so excited about his play time as if each moment would last forever. He loves his leash walks and has a blast playing with his pals in the yard. Aster would do well in a home with a yard to run in and a family with an active lifestyle. He is very shy with new people and takes a long time to warm up. Aster is eager and ready to be a part of your family!

* Aster’s person must have experience with complicated rescue dogs. He is very shy with new people and fearful of new environments. He is selective about dogs he likes and will need very slow introductions. He needs to be with an experienced dog handler willing to give him a lot of time and patience. He will do best in a calm home environment without a lot of people coming and going.
