Malaysia

Your New Best Friend

Meet Malaysia, a 3-year old Staffordshire mix that is around 55-pounds. She is energy filled but also loves affection and cuddle time. She has a bright spirit, a youthful glow, and exudes love. She LOVES every person she meets. She has beautiful and unique grey freckle patterns on her face and body, a strong and sturdy build, and adoring eyes. It will be love-at-first-sight when you both meet. She is very excited to meet new people, but after a while she calms down and enjoys her scrunches. Malaysia is almost entirely deaf. She knows a few hand signals, is excellent at ‘sit’, and great on leash walks. She is a truly amazing girl who needs the right person to understand her special needs and is willing to work with her. She is ready for her forever home!

* Malaysia’s Person must have experience with complicated rescue dogs who have trauma from their past: Someone with experience managing a dog with extreme reactivity to other dogs. She will need kept away from all other dogs until you are able to get her the training she needs to undo this behavior. She probably has never lived in a home, so she is kinda a bull in a china shop (with training and time she will learn). She needs to be with someone willing to shower her with love, she will need a lot of time, patience, and a very experienced dog handler.

Staffordshire Terrier are full of courage and tenacity, agility and strength. They are a mild, playful, eager-to-please companion with a reputation for being patient with the whole family and a special feel for kids. These are true-blue loyal companions, but it is vital that the pups be socialized with other dogs to learn good canine manners. Staffords do not usually stand particularly tall but they pour a gallon of dog into a quart-size container. These are rock-solid, muscular terriers. Learn more about the breed HERE.
