Meet Roxy!

Roxy is a 6-month-old Wirehaired Terrier mix with the most adorable scruffy white fur you’ve ever seen. Playful, snuggly, and endlessly friendly, she’s full of puppy energy and joy.

Roxy’s story began in the woods of Alabama, where she and her two siblings, Lola and Otto, were found by a kindhearted 93-year-old woman who cared for them until shelter volunteers could step in. Thanks to that early love, Roxy has blossomed into a happy, well-socialized pup who adores both her doggy siblings and her human friends.

She’s a wonderful mix of energy and affection — always up for playtime, but just as eager to snuggle when the day winds down. And she adores getting her belly rubbed! With patience, training, and plenty of love, Roxy is sure to grow into a loyal companion who will brighten every day.

Wirehaired Terriers are spirited, intelligent, and full of personality. Known for their distinctive scruffy coats and lively expressions, these terriers are both adorable and adventurous. They are playful, loyal, and affectionate with their people. They often bond closely with their families and love being part of the action, whether it’s a game in the yard, a walk around the block, or snuggling on the couch after a busy day. Their alert nature also makes them quick learners, though like many terriers, they can be independent thinkers and benefit from patient, consistent training. These scruffy companions thrive in homes that can provide daily exercise, mental stimulation, and, most importantly, lots of love. In return, they bring joy, laughter, and endless devotion to their families.
