Meet Otto!

Otto is a 6-month-old Wirehaired Terrier mix with scruffy black-and-brown fur and a personality as charming as his look. Playful, snuggly, and full of energy, he’s a happy puppy who loves life and everyone in it.

Otto’s story began in the woods of Alabama, where he, his sister Lola, and his sister Roxy were found by a kindhearted 93-year-old woman who cared for them until shelter volunteers could step in. Now, Freddy is thriving at the rescue, enjoying playtime with his siblings and making fast friends with people.

One of Otto’s cutest quirks is his friendly little bark — his way of “talking” to his puppy pals. Whether he’s romping in the yard, snuggling up after play, or showing off his adorable chatter, Otto is sure to bring joy and laughter to his forever family.

Wirehaired Terriers are spirited, intelligent, and full of personality. Known for their distinctive scruffy coats and lively expressions, these terriers are both adorable and adventurous. They are playful, loyal, and affectionate with their people. They often bond closely with their families and love being part of the action, whether it’s a game in the yard, a walk around the block, or snuggling on the couch after a busy day. Their alert nature also makes them quick learners, though like many terriers, they can be independent thinkers and benefit from patient, consistent training. These scruffy companions thrive in homes that can provide daily exercise, mental stimulation, and, most importantly, lots of love.
