Mallory
Your New Best Friend
Meet Mallory, a 1.5-year year old, Boxer / Staffordshire Terrier mix who is about 35 pounds. She is a gorgeous and petite young lady. She has a silky black coat, white markings on her chest, soulful brown eyes, and a charming underbite. Mallory was found abandoned in a field with her five puppies. When Mallory came to us, she was extremely frightened of everything. We have worked hard to get her to trust us and gain confidence. She has really come out of her shell and is an absolute sweetheart! She is very playful with other dogs and is a huge snuggle bug. She is still very shy with new people but with time and patience she will leap into your arms and become your new best friend. Mallory needs the right person who is willing to be patient, consistent and tender, and allow time for her to trust and open up. In time, she will be bounding about and eliciting your affection. It may take several visits with her to get her more comfortable.
Boxers have loyalty, affection, intelligence, work ethic, and good looks: they are the whole doggy package. Bright and alert, sometimes silly, but always courageous, the Boxer has been among America's most popular dog breeds for a very long time. A Boxer in peak condition is an awesome sight. Their muscles ripple beneath a short, tight-fitting coat. The dark brown eyes and wrinkled forehead give the face an alert, curious look. Boxers move like the athletes they are named for: smooth and graceful, with a powerful forward thrust. Boxers are upbeat and playful. Their patience and protective nature have earned them a reputation as a great dog with children. They take the jobs of watchdog and family guardian seriously and will meet threats fearlessly. Boxers do best when exposed to a lot of people and other animals in early puppyhood. Learn more about the breed HERE.
